How to estimate value
- Find the karat stamp, such as 10K, 14K, 18K, 22K or 24K.
- Weigh the item without stones or non-gold parts where possible.
- Select the unit and preferred currency.
- Treat the result as an estimated melt value—not a purchase offer.
The formula
Spot price per gram × weight × purity = estimated melt value
Commercial buyers normally offer less to cover testing, refining, price risk and operating costs.
